Super 8 Motel - Phoenix/Mesa/Gilbert Road

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I needed something quick but goodness! There was toothpaste residue in the sink (you know, the kind you spit out!). No soap was available. Bugs crawling around the tub! The room was big enough for a hobbit - surely not for 2 people. It met my expectations of a 1 star hotel by being extrema small, hard beds, a little dirty and things not kept up like the tile in the eating area, the central air, and the shabbiness of the pool area. If you are looking for a deal it was a little over priced but I can't expect much more from a 1 star hotel. ...read more

The maid service in our room was terrible. There was a used styrofoam cup under the bed right by the edge as we pulled the blankets back we saw it. I could have been seen by maid staff if they had properly cleaned the room. There was a used bandaid by the bed between the bed and bed side table. Also a pill on the floor on the other side of the bed and the bathroom trash had not been emptied. We stayed in the room even after complaining to the front desk because we were already settled and it was too much trouble to move to another room. This hotel is conveniently located and has a nice, cheep car wash and gas station right next door. It is right off Highway 60 but is reasonably quiet. The pool must be heated because people were using it during cooler weather. The hot tub was not very warm however. The only downsides to this hotel was the beds were very hard and the breakfast did not include a protein such as a boiled egg. ...read more

The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see and do. The staff was very friendly and responded to our needs immediately. We also had a change of plans and wanted to stay longer. They extended our stay with no problems what so ever and we remained in our room. ...read more

I definitely would stay there again, it was very quiet and clean. The internet even worked. Continental breakfast was excellent.

My overall experience at this hotel was terrible. Not even close in cleanliness or upkeep and maintenance as the other.
